PNC Fairfax Connection INVITES COMMUNITY TO CELEBRATE

First Year OF ACHIEVEMENT

Open House to Feature Family-Friendly Activities, Highlight Center Offerings

CLEVELAND, Sept. 20, 2013 – Cleveland residents and business owners are invited to celebrate one year of community accomplishments at the PNC Fairfax Connection, the free resource center located at E. 83rd and Carnegie, at an open house on Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Annual Celebration-365 Days of Achievement

We invite you, your friends and family to help us celebrate one year of community accomplishments at the PNC Fairfax Connection Open House on Saturday, September 28th from 11am to 2pm.  Featuring refreshments and giveaways, it will be a fun family-friendly celebration providing you with a "Passport to Achievement" - experience for yourself how the Center can be useful in your day-to-day life.  We look forward to celebrating with you.

Hollywood In Cleveland - Saturday, June 29

At the Connection we will welcome Ivan Schwartz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission who will take us through the ins and outs of the film industry. We will explore the various careers and opportunities available to Clevelanders as we host many of the recent upcoming blockbusters. Ivan will bring film clips shot right here in Cleveland. Join Us for the Art of Persuasive Communication! Tuesdays at 5:45 pm

Partnering with the debate department of John Carroll University, learn the art of debate and persuasive communication, practice public speaking, and work with a team to develop compelling arguments about relevant topics. Designed for adult participants, the June-July program will incorporate training workshops, practice debates, and a public debate tournament judged by esteemed local leaders!

Media & Technology Opportunities for Students

Join us for two exciting workshops - Media & Technology training and Talent Show Viewing Party! The Media & Technology training will be hosted next Tuesday, May 14th at 6:00 pm, and will feature instruction on the Apple Video Editing software Final Cut Pro X. All edited footage will be viewed on Tuesday, May 28th at 6:00 pm, and will feature remarks from special guest Ivan Schwartz, President of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission! Don't miss out!

Fun Food & Fitness: Family Day!

What a fun way to start a beautiful Saturday morning. Friends of all ages enjoyed light exercise, dance and snacked on fruit, vegetables and nutritious snacks. I look forward to seeing you again next month! Keep up the good work and Keep It Moving!

PNC Fairfax Connection 1st Annual Talent Show!

Come one, come all! PNC Fairfax Connection will host our very first talent show Tuesday, April 30th at 6:00pm! Acts include song, dance, puppetry, sketches, and rap. Performances will be recorded by the PNC Fairfax Connection Media Team to be viewed at the Talent Show Viewing Party in May. Refreshments will be provided. Join us for a great evening!

Fun filled Family Move Night!

Thanks to those of you who joined us for our first Family Movie Night. We watched Wreck It Ralph on the 80" display in the social area. Over 100 attended and enjoyed pizza and popcorn. Welcome to the five new member families who joined us - it was good to see everyone. A special thank you to the parents and kids of St. Adalbert and Bolton Elementary Schools.
